On August 5, 2025, over 200 community members gathered at Willow Avenue Park, 603 Willow Ave, Baltimore, MD 21212, for a spectacular National Night Out celebration that filled the air with joy, unity, and a sense of belonging. Organized by the devoted team from The Church of the Redeemed of the Lord’s Mathew 25 Ministry, and made possible by the support of local leaders and generous sponsors like the Kedrick Scribner Foundation Inc., the event served as a shining example of love, togetherness, and hope for the Wilson Park Northern Neighborhood Association (WPNNA) community.

A Night of Joy and Togetherness

The evening buzzed with energy as families enjoyed an array of fun-filled activities, including a moon bounce for kids, hula hoops, football throwing, and stand-up board games. Seniors relaxed in lawn chairs and danced to the tunes of the DJ, creating an atmosphere of peace and enjoyment. The evening was filled with laughter, music, and the shared spirit of community.

Baltimore Police Northern District Major Keira Saunders remarked, “I’ve attended 12 National Night Out events in my district, and the WPNNA event was one of the largest and happiest I’ve seen.” This glowing praise underscores the success of the event and the incredible efforts behind it.

Honoring Community and Faith

The event’s success is a testament to the dedication of key figures like Maureen Butler, Kedrick Scribner, and the leadership of The Church of the Redeemed of the Lord. Bishop Jerome Stokes, founder of the church, shared, “The National Night Out is a vital part of our ministry work and service to the community. We love the WPNNA community and are grateful to bring smiles to attendees’ faces.”

Kedrick Scribner, Elder and sponsor of the event, added, “Serving people because we love is at the heart of what we do. Through my charitable organization, Kedrick Scribner Foundation Inc., and my security company, Police Protective Group LLC, we’ve been supporting this event for over 16 years. It’s all about building safer, stronger neighborhoods.”
